MIATA RENTALS FOR GROUP / CORPORATE EVENTS

Housatonic Racing Development hosts corporate group experiences, events and team-building exercises that make for a lasting impact on your employees or clients. From the early stages of planning through the event itself, our staff will ensure your performance driving experience goes off without a hitch. Choose from the exercises below to create your custom group experience!

What To Expect:

Once you arrive at Lime Rock Park the rental cars will be there waiting for you and your guests!

 

HRD will prepare the vehicles before the day of your event, which consists of a vehicle service and full safety inspection. On the day of the event, we will trailer the cars to Lime Rock Park and our crew will perform a complete morning check (adjust tire pressures, check fuel levels, torque wheels etc.) to get the cars ready for the day.

 

We suggest arriving at least 45 minutes before the start of the event to allow time to find our location in the paddock, sign any documents, and acclimate yourselves with the cars. The HRD crew will be there to greet you and answer any questions you or your guests may have. Seats are non-adjustable but we do have extra padding to position yourselves comfortably before any vehicle heads out onto the track. Helmets are mandatory for the main track; they are not necessary for the Autocross Course. 

 

Once any driver is out on track, they will have exclusive all day pit lane service. Any time you or a guest comes into the pit lane, you will be met by one of the HRD crew to check tire pressures and answer any questions. If you need to drink some water or if you simply want to take a break; you are welcome to go at your own pace.

 

HRD will handle all aspects of the rental cars and will refuel the vehicles throughout the day allowing you and your guests to focus on the adrenaline rush that is high performance driving!

Rental Recommendations

We recommend renting vehicles based on the number of guests you expect to attend your event to allow for optimal drive time and the best experience. The more cars provided for the event, the more seat time each guest will have!

HRD Crew Services

HRD Crew will be on site throughout the entirety of your program. We will help you and your guests with:

  • Entering and exiting the race cars

  • Buckling the racing seatbelts

  • Adding seat padding for those guests who need to come forward or up towards the dashboard

  • Teaching guests who are unfamiliar with a standard shift transmission

  • Giving advice and/or gear recommendations for certain areas of the track or AX course

  • Fueling the race cars

I WANT TO BOOK A GROUP EVENT - WHERE DO I START?

HRD is happy to help! To book the Lime Rock Park venue for your event, you will need to contact Walter Irvine at Lime Rock Park -

walter@limerock.com or (860) 435 - 5000 ext 108. Then once you've secured the date and time for your event, you can contact HRD to secure the rentals.

HOW MUCH DO RENTALS COST?

Rental pricing varies between different types of events. We do offer multi-vehicle discounts when booking 3 or more rentals. Call or email for accurate pricing 

HOW ARE PAYMENTS PROCESSED FOR CORPORATE / GROUP PROGRAMS?

All invoices are sent electronically via email. There will be a payment button at the bottom of the invoice with the option to pay via credit card, debit card or process a one-time bank transfer. Checks may also be mailed to HRD's physical address located on the invoice. A deposit of $250 per car is due at the time of booking to secure your event's date. The remaining balance is due one week before your event. Full payment must be received prior to any on-track driving activities. If the event is within 30 days, HRD does not require a deposit and full payment will be requested at the time of booking.

ON-TRACK INSURANCE?

On-Track Insurance or HPDE Track Day Insurance is not available for rented vehicles in the state of CT.

I AM LOOKING FOR RENTALS FOR AN AUTOCROSS PROGRAM. IS THAT POSSIBLE?

HRD provides rentals cars for any and all events at Lime Rock Park. - Autocross events included.

HOW MANY GUESTS CAN I BRING FOR A GROUP / CORPORATE EVENT?

As many as you'd like! We've provided rentals for programs from 5 guests to 45 guests.

WHAT KIND OF TRANSMISSIONS DO YOUR RENTALS HAVE?

All of the HRD rental vehicles have 5 speed manual racing transmissions. It is recommended that guests know how to drive a standard transmission but we are more than happy to teach those that do not know.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

Any cancellation by the renter must be provided in writing. If the renter cancels within 72 hours of the event, the rental fee shall be considered earned with no refund due. Upon any cancellation by HRD, payments made by the renter to HRD will be refunded. All refunds will be subject to a 5% processing fee.
